Moreover, they are an important point of contact for large international parties as well as local entrepreneurs. From the headquarters in Noord-Scharwoude, Manon Beets talks about how her field of work transformed from an Excel file to a well-organized accounts receivable portfolio and how TRUST IT still contributes to this today.
Monday Morning
Manon joined Demaco over 11 years ago and was given full control of accounts receivable management 7 years ago. A tool for efficient credit management did not exist back then. Manon explains: “Every Monday morning I had an Excel file of all the past-due invoices printed out from our ERP system. Based on age, I would call the list of debtors and manually write down the status behind each debtor. This took up about two whole days of my week. Dispute management and reporting were not yet in place. No one had any idea where any bottlenecks were, but it was running.”
Forerunner
After a while, it became clear to Manon that this work process could be more efficient, and she thought it was time to take action. After a demonstration of TRUST IT in which they could get acquainted with the different functionalities, it quickly became clear that TRUST IT was the tool for them to make efficiency gains. A smooth implementation process followed, in which the system could be fully set up according to the specified wishes and needs. Soon after that, Manon could start using the new credit management tool. – Manon: “Of course you have to deal with some minor teething problems in the beginning, but that is the case with all new software. TRUST IT is an easy package that I quickly mastered. Moreover, a few years ago, we started a LEAN process. “Trust It” was already a nice precursor to this and was therefore perfectly in line.”
Time savings and overview
What Manon still reaps the benefits of today is the time savings she achieves. “I use TRUST IT every day, but it saves a lot of time now that my actions are automatically prepared and I know exactly what to prioritize. With two clicks, I have sent my e-mandates. TRUST IT allows me to anticipate and proactively approach debtors, something that was simply not possible before. Regular and consistent reminders result in faster payments or insight into a dispute. In addition, things like payment histories and debtor information now remain secured.”
